Dr. Keith Hendricks, a native of San Antonio Texas, is a multifaceted percussionist and educator who has performed throughout the United States as well as in the United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, South Korea, France and Canada.
As a performer Dr. Hendricks has worked with a wide range of musical groups including Grammy Award nominated choral ensemble Conspirare and the internationally-recognized musical group The Polyphonic Spree. Dr. Hendricks has performed at numerous national and international music festivals and conferences. In 2010, he participated in the Music X festival in Blonay, Switzerland at the Hindemith Music Centre where he worked with Grammy Award winning composer David Lang and Grammy Award winning ensemble Eighth Blackbird.
Dr. Hendricks was also featured as a soloist at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention during Focus Day (2014 and 2015) as well as with the University of Texas Percussion Group (2013) In addition, Dr. Hendricks has performed at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention, the Round Top Festival Institute, Fast Forward Austin, and the Midwest Composers Symposium. He has also performed on NPR’s All Songs Considered and World Café Live, as well as The Jonathan Ross Show at The London Studios for the BBC Television Center.
